Chrissie Wellington
www.chrissiewellington.org

Chrissie Wellington, a pro triathlete out of the United Kingdom, is the reigning woman's Ironman World Champion having won the prestigious race in Kona for the past three years. Chrissie arrived in Kansas to hear the song that we penned about her, "Chrissie Came to Kansas." In her post-race write-up about Ironman Kansas Chrissie called us "true American Idols" and thank us for helping to make "rock and (the Blazeman) roll the 4th triathlon discipline." We'd have to argue with the Idols part, but thanks for the kind words Chrissie! Check out Chrissie's site to learn more about her racing career and philanthropical endeavours.
Pip Taylor
www.piptaylor.com

Pip Taylor is a professional triathlete from Australia who spends much of the season training in the Midwest based out of Lawrence, Kansas. Pip finished second behind Chrissie this year at the K-Swiss Ironman Kansas 70.3 and was a great sport when we played a rousing rendition of "I Don't Mind Bein' Passed by Pip". Good luck with the rest of the season, and thanks for the visors Pip! Visit Pip's website to learn more about Pip's endeavours.
Ironman
www.ironman.com

The reason we're in this crazy sport/musical endeavour in the first place. We've been racing half and full Ironman races for several years and fully understand the dedication, and a touch of craziness, required to be a long distance multisport athlete. A further touch of craziness is required to pick up a guitar and write songs about them. Visit ironman.com to learn more about the national and international series of events.
Ironman Kansas
www.ironmankansas.com

Our "hometown" Ironman 70.3 race, Ironman Kansas was also the site of Ironband's first public appearance at a major race. Kudos to race directors Ryan Robinson and Tom Ziebart on putting on a world-class race on a beautiful and challenging course in the hills of Kansas!
Ironman Branson
www.ironmanbranson.com

Ironman 70.3 Branson will be the latest addition to the Ironman 70.3 Event Series. On September 19, 2010, the inaugural race will take place in the vacation destination of Branson, Missouri. Ironman 70.3 Branson will serve as one of 34 worldwide qualifying events for the 2010 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3 in Clearwater, Fla. Professional athletes will be competing for a $25,000 prize purse.
Perpetual Change
www.perpetual-change.com

Perpetual Change is our favorite local band and a great group of guys. They rock the 80's, 90's, and 00's, and have some killer originals too. Plus, they're nice enough to let us join them on stage on occasion. Perhaps one day we can rock the stage together in Kona. Check out their website to download their original music or check the calendar for upcoming shows.
